Interesting Lecture xD
Had BM212 (Comsumer Behaviour) yesterday. Darn Cool~! x)
Lecturer was talking about Consumer Perception and Senses in the aspect of Marketing.
Colour perception, volume perception, etc etc.
The highlight of the entire must be that of Subliminal Advertising. Haha I wonder if sometimes people think too much. =/

The old Camel Cigarette packaging before it was being recalled...
What's wrong with that??!!
Prof Chung was asking us, "do you see a man? Do you see the sideview of a sexually aroused man with a pointed nose?? "
LOLS we were like, WHATTTTT????!!!! WHERE???? o____O

Eh.... lols.
And here's the most most ridiculous one of all :
I bet no one with the right mind would think this Coca Cola vending machine is suggestive!! haha.
What's so subliminal and suggestive with this ??
It's claimed to portray a naked backview of a lady........

Erm. Like that also can??? hahaha.
Whereas this is the most obvious of all:

I cant find the posters of the rest of the subliminal ads.
The second part of the lecture was about Perceptual Deception,
The Kanizsa Square.
Kibami. The center of each lattice appears to be yellowish, though the background is homogeneously white.

And believe it or not, the what you see below is a flat painting! xD

And most interestingly, the intriguing drawing of M.C. Escher!!! We all went "WOW"!
Maurits Cornelis Escher (17 June 1898 – 27 March 1972) was a Dutch-Frisian graphic artist with little knowledge and academic achievement. He was well-known for his often mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs and mezzotints that featured impossible constructions and explorations of infinity, architecture and tessellations.
Love his works! x)

The famous Drawing Hands.

Bond Union

Relativity.
This is such a playful and puzzling use of space and dimension!
See the 2 men at the top of the drawing, one's going up the stairs while the other is coming down? Though they're situated almost next to one another, they'll never meet each other in the same dimension.
So near and yet so far.

Waterfall.
And this is the best of the best!
At first sight, this drawing seems perfectly normal. But a closer look reveals the ingenuity of the masterpiece.
The water seems as if it's falling from above, however tracing back the source of the water one would realised that the water is actually flowing on a flat level!!!
And all those pillars in the middle, are they really supporting something or anything at all?? =O
How about those plants at the bottom right corner?
Surrealism. ;)
