whee~
This morning was my first time going up to the gallery to receive prize (college’s essay writing contest. Best Literature Award.) from the principal. Kinda excited. x)
The view from above was indeed intimidating… Having 800++ pairs of eyes fixed upon you doesn’t sound like an enjoyable thing yea. Glad I wasn’t wearing specs. Hahas.
Apart from that, mr kong also informed me that I’ve won the overall champion as well as the 最佳文采 for that iblog competition. Wah. *excited excited* ^_________^
Hmm…that’s a total of Ahem ahem.
Lols.
But then but then. It was really really very bery unexpected!! I’ve never imagined myself winning the champion cos I felt that Wintersky has done a much much better job!! And her language is superb! I was almost 100% certain that she would walk away with the 最佳文采 loh.
http://iblog07.new-media-arts.com/wintersky/ that's hers
http://iblog07.new-media-arts.com/singaporelah/ and this is mine
Why me?! I need to find this out man. *shake head*
Argh…but why cheque and Not CASH??!! hmm.. hope they can give me some book vouchers. Heehee. x)
btw...my cutey cute freeloader fell sick!! =( just like her owner huh? lols. need to go get her a doctor. but that dolldoll website is not functioning well!! and now some random ugly doll came to dominate her room! so rude. :x

must have some brains to appreciate the joke. xp
。。 ( I like the above part. n___n)

Dear Boss got Mascot Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!!!!! *SCREAMS!!*
AH AH AH AH AH!!! *speechless* omg omg OMG!! *big hug big hug!!*
The entire process was like a roller-coaster ride man. Hahas. (fellow monsters: or izzit that you’re just stupid )
I really really DID believe that he went back to refund it and the mug was given to him for free and that the lady had forgotten to ask it back!! I swear I believed it without a single trace of doubt!!
So I gracefully accepted the mug until I saw this elegantly wrapped present resting peacefully in my locker. At that moment I was still wondering what could it be. lols. Gosh. And yes, to my greatest greatest greatest surprise it was INDEED the book that I have been craving for!!
Wah wah wah wah…...
“You are the easiest to fool…” there came the godly voice of my dear Boss. Hahas. Okok…you won.
OH MY GOD. Someone come and pinch my awake! It's still very bery unbelievable!! Ah and I feel so bad now… it was expensive k… To take it or to turn it down? I suppose I couldn’t achieve any of them. Thank you yisheng. Thank you so. so. much.
Shit. And now I have to start saving for playstation already. *winks* Hahahaha.
Praise the Boss, Hallelujah! ^___________^

Oh and a must-mention: the effects were beyond amazing! They were absolutely fantastic! The first 10 mins of the film really got me into it, so cool so cool!! =D
As nice as Harry Potter!! wheee~~ ^____^
I find that Sam really stupid though. haha. hmm..perhaps michael bay is a feminist.. (Mikaela is reeeeally cool!) lols. xp But i feel that the show would be even better if they could place more emphasis on the robots... heh. Nonetheless it's awesome!

Im blogging in the sch's com lab now haha. xp.
Flipping through my planner and I felt the rush of adrenaline. Im getting busier with each passing day! Well well. But the past week had been really enjoyable~
Firstly…no GSC for 3 weeks! (hope mr kong will slim down after his reservice lols) Huiqin’s 18th bday on Tuesday…haha I must remind this young lady to get her blood donated! Lols dun ever try to run away ah…
Went Ms Clarity on yisheng’s birthday. Mud Ooze is still super oishi~~ though this time there was more mud than ooze haha. We sat there and talked for duno how many hours until the boss came to chase us away! In a very courteous and indirect way of course. LOLS. I think he’s gonna blacklist us alr… xP
Saturday simin and I went kino to hunt for my books!
Gulliver’s Travels
Pride & Prejudice
1984
And that was a total of 41 bucks (haha with the sch sponsoring me 30 ;p). Wah recently I've spent over $60 on books! broke alr...
God. Simin is soooo funny! While I was searching for George Orwell’s books, I asked simin if the author’s still alive (what a disrespectful question…lols)
“Dunnoe leh…wait I help you check............ 死 liao,” she replied with a big grin.
Hahah then we burst out, without knowing that we had just disgraced ourselves in a holy place… xp
And wow. There was a food fest in Taka!! *eyes widened* People mountain people sea sia~ we marched out way through and got ourselves some Korean ice-cream and pan-fried kimchi! Oishi oishi OISHI!!!!!!! Should have taken some photos of those yummies…too engrossed with eating you see. =P
lessons learnt from this trip: I can forget about my image when going out simin next time. Lols. And I should start wearing porcupine’s skin (if I can find one)…just in case she clinches herself onto me again…ahem. im not a lesbian k. hahahaha.
I fell sick right after I got back home… such a good timing haha! Runny nose, burning throat and an aching head. So sick. T_______T My throat was so dry that I thought I was gonna be suffocated to death in the late midnight. Have I eaten too much of the kimchi pancake?? 2 slices only what… *innocent*
Hoho~ watched Harry Potter And The Order of The Phoenix with Huiqin yesterday!!!! wheeeee~~~~~
Actually we wanted to pon ms ye’s "tiah-bo" lecture and watch it today de...heehee... but since there was no cca ytd...give her face loh. Lols.

WAAAAAAAA the movie is damn damn nice!! It's definitely darker, leaner and meaner... but the new director did a great job capturing the spirit of the book and the effects were stunning!!

The 3 leading actors grown up really fast!! Especially Daniel.

But arrrgh. cho chang doesnt belong to the show at all!!

Scroll the cursor up and down for 100 times and you'll see some similarities between them..LOL just kidding ;p;p. Ok lah..she's not ugly at all actually. it's just that somehow she doesn't have the "i'm cho chang" look lah. Disclaimer: my fave character in the story is not harry potter. I perfer professor Dumbledore!
Met up with Kluang mates after the movie. ah.. weiyang's leaving tonight~ Bon Voyage!
The doughnuts at Taka's basement is not nice at all!! T__T
And hey...kimchi pancake is really nice k...what taste like otah...no respect to my food. -__- LOLS.

Just for laughs I read this gossip in a magazine…It was said that a superstar from HK (the writer gave a list of hints & I inferred our main character here to be Axxx Lau lols) has some difficulties in using the English language. And one fine day, this charming Mr Lau was on his way to another country. On the plane, some air hostess stood in his way. Mr lau, famous for his courtesy, said this in English, “Miss, could you let me pass away?” ~The end~
10:13 AM
Where's the Iron???
Where's the Iron???My father is flying off to china to visit my grandparents today. And the poor me have to wait till the end of the yr. T___T
Nvm, time passes really quickly. Im sure I don’t even have to pinch myself to realize that 7 mths have gone… arrgh.
Time really files. And with the advances in sci and tech, time can now teleport. tsk tsk. Scary.
Okay. Picture this now: 11+ last night, I was alone in the living room, ironing my father’s clothes. What running in my mind was actually 孟母’s <<游子吟>> .
(fellow monsters: wrong context can...)
Then I went to sip a drink…and when I stepped out of my room, ahead of me I saw
nothing.
Pitch black!
Must be the heroic act of my dear sister’s. daily responsibility of the “省电侠” in the house.
But oi! My iron how?? Iron…oh YA the iron is still ON! Oh my tian! Where’s the iron?!!!
I was like “shit shit my iron my iron where’s my iron…” in the void of emptiness and darkness I cautiously tried to source for the heat generator.
And then I head an echo within me,

“WHY don’t you on the lights first?”

another story to share

I came across this short story from another lib book that i've borrowed and found it to be very inspirational! n______n

lets see who can shower in 2 mins time! haha
Simin is such a devoted blogger! Hahas. That was a random statement… ;p
Hoho~ Happy Birthday to Huiqin!! x) wah her present is one of the hardest to find man…hope she’ll like it… she better. No second choice. LOLS.
Sister’s birthday was last sat. o7o7o7. what a pretty number! The day I set up this blog too. Hahas. They left me at home and went science centre & celebrate her bday. Before I starve to comma, father brought back a cold lasagna for me. Better than nothing lah, at least I could stuff sth into my big mouth while watching Condor Hero. Haha!
Oh ya oh ya. Went back to Nanhua in that morning to cover a forum. Coz i received 3 unexpected smses from my sec 1 maths teacher, Mr Chia, asking if I could help him cover tt young environmentalist forum for the school.
“we’ll have 200+ student from 9 diff countries gathering together & discuss issues related to climate change and water conservation…” sounds interesting & meaningful.
Hmm…however. I spotted only a handful (out of the 200 odd ppl) had their eyes opened. And mostly were the GOHs and teachers…
On the brighter side though, I got to know this pretty young lady from Australia by the name of Ashleigh. So charismatic! Facing the entire hall of audience, she spoke like Hillary Clinton. Hahas…maybe that’s a bit exaggerative…… ;p
she told me tt Australia is actually the driest continent in the world (I’ve always thought it to be Africa of sth…haha) and is facing one of the most disastrous droughts in history! Their govt has implemented several measures to combat the droughts…things like the “4-min shower rule” and so on.
I was like, “what!?? So you’re trained to clean yourself head to toe in less than 4 mins time???”
To my surprise, their citizens are rather supportive of all the strict measures, and tts certainly a scene that can never appear in Singapore.
I went home with a heavy heart, just like the day I watched The Inconvenient Truth…SAVE THE EARTH BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!! >_____<Oh~ mr Chia is such a nicey person! He drove me home after the forum! It was not like his duties were completed leh, he still needed to conduct the closing ceremony an hour later! Wah…felt so honored and guilty… that was my 3rd time snuggling into a sparkling brand new car of his!! and this implies that he actually changed THREE cars within TWO years. o_O "mr chia…you changed your car again??!!" "heehee…被你发现liao…""你卖车的ah….??!!""wah 连这个你也懂oh?""真的假的........" -_____-lllll

Went to JE lib ytd. A fruitful trip indeed! x)
Andrew David Hsu. A name we ought to know.
His biography is the most influential, interesting and motivating book that I’ve read this year.
Well… Andrew is a Taiwanese who lives in US. 16 this year. Yesh. Sixteen. When the book was published in 2005, he was in his forth yr in the University of Washington.
He stepped into the uni at the age of 12! o_O!! what was I doing when I was 12…?? Probably struggling with my PSLE.
okie... and here's some jaw-dropping info...
Age 2 : assembled LEGO to structures taller than himself. Started reading chapter book.
Age 3 : started doing math calculations
Age 4 : started playing golf and doing algebra
Age 5-6 : started playing piano & violin and started swimming under the coaching of professionals in a swimming team
Age 7-8 : skipped to P4, started Home School. (like what Thomas Edison did. lol ). Broke 4 swim records. (which had been kept for more than 30 years!) Started High School. (tsk tsk. I entered JC TEN years later than him.)
Age 9 : completed High Sch courses.
Age 10 : Held 8 Issaquah Swim Team records and won a Gold Medal during the King County Lake Wilderness Triathlon.
Co-founded the World Children’s Organisation with his brother Patrick (who is a genius too!)
Age 11 : Scored 99% on ACT and SAT. Won silver Grand Prize in Washington State Sci & Engineer Fair (the youngest person ever to win grand prize in WSSEF’s history. He did an in-depth research on Polymerase Chain Reaction, sth that I just came across this year…and is of the very superficial level -.-lll but HE actually started operating the machines at 11!)
Became an non-matriculated student in University of Washington (of course, again, youngest ever in history.)
Started public speaking and began a mission of helping needy children worldwide. x)
Age 12-13 : 1st place, 100m butterfly, Western Zone All-Star Swim Meet. Broke another 8 records. Ranked 4th in the entire USA for 100 yard butterfly swimming for age 12. Invited to present research result at American Association for Advancement of Sci. Entered university of Washington.
And just recently, (9th June) he graduated from the University of Washington with 3.5 degrees (B.S. in Neurobiology, B.S. in Biochemistry, B.S. in Chemistry, Minor in Mathematics). o_O It was said that others struggled like mad in order to complete just one of these.
It’s not only a book about a genius; it’s about an all-rounded genius who’s also actively involved in community works and helping children in third world countries.
Impressive huh.
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone. Coz it's not something tt one would read and forget; it really gives a purpose in life as well as the sense of urgency in daily life. Indirectly of course. Which is good!
I’ve read many other self-enriching and self-improvement kinda books that teach ppl how to handle difficulties and provide a step by step guideline on how to manage time wisely. Dont really like them… it’s always easier to learn from others’ successes and failures I think. Provides you a room for personal reflection as well.
Like I said, I would strongly recommend this bk to anyone. Parents, teachers, teenagers, schools…anyone and everyone!
The kind of parents that Andrew has, I would say, is perfect. They have never exerted any form of force onto their sons and their way of teaching…hmm…innovative and yet effective.

Hmm...A great book indeed!!
